SIMPLE OPERATION Operating BCVault is simple. There’s one Vault (at our secure resilient hosting centre) and one collector per operating system on your site. Collectors can vary from simple PCs to rack-mount servers, depending on your backup throughput. All collectors can be managed from a GUI. This can be installed on one or more desktops and is secured. BCVault can be configured so that multiple sites can be managed from one GUI (assuming it has access and permissions). YOUR BACKUP SETS Once the BCCollector(s) are installed and permissions given, you’ll be helped to set up your first backup. You can run several different backup sets. Backups can be configured to run by:
Flexibility is exceptional SELF MANAGING BCVault is self managing; in the rare case of backup failure (e.g. if connectivity fails) it will re run. It will report this proactively and also if it is unable to re-establish lost connections. It can also produce regular usage reports. REPORTING You're provided with a substantial set of easy to use and configure reports – providing you with every possible analysis of your data – for example; change rates, who’s backing up what where, what’s backing up, and unchanging files. See right for details. Click here for a ‘typical’ backup configuration. |
